Position Summary
Provides leadership and expertise to the Bottling Department in concert with other winery functions to manufacture finished goods that meet company objectives in safety, quality, volume and timing. Works in collaboration with other business partners to foster an engaged team focused on achieving goals in a collaborative manner. Responsible for developing and executing strategy that supports both departmental and Company objectives. This position leverages standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and effective as possible.
Maintain a safe and healthy workplace through proactive leadership. Establish behavioral standards, deliver programs to improve safety and environmental performance and ensure compliance to internal and external regulatory standards. Set a culture for reporting and resolving workplace hazards.
Ensure product quality by implementing processes and procedures to maintain compliance with the food safety and quality management systems.
Builds strategic relationships with peers in order assure effective communication, execution of procedures and performance of overall operations.
Develop processes to ensure responsibility, authority and accountability in all operations within the Warehouse and Packaging.
Ensure a robust reliability centered maintenance plan is in place to support plant assets and deliver on the weekly production plan.
Monitor and manage the performance and development of the team.
Control costs to meet approved budgets including cost per case and total handling costs.
Develop strategic plans and annual goals for the Warehouse and Bottling facility.
Recommend annual budgets for Site Operations
Provide visibility into key performance indicators to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Interacts with vendors to leverage technology, purchase equipment and services in order to resolve long term equipment, training and process issues.
Identifies, analyzes and resolves issues affecting production.
Proposes and executes improvements to processes and equipment as other Company production facilities.
Supports company sustainability policies and practices by supporting programs for conservation, energy efficiency and recycling in order to maximize operations and achieve environmental results.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Food Packaging or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered)
10 to 15 years leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Significant exposure to packaging operations or related FMCG industries.
Solid understanding of maintenance fundamentals.
Ability to work cross functionally with various departments.
Production team leadership and management experience.
Clear understanding of Health and Safety principles as applied to manufacturing.
Experience with food or pharmaceutical products.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
